Bills fall short against Patriots, 38-30

The Buffalo Bills surprising offensive explosion still wasn’t enough in a 38-30 loss to the New England Patriots.

The Bills gave quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick the start over Trent Edwards, and they had to be pleased with the results.

Fitzpatrick finished with nearly 250 yards passing and two touchdowns, but he did throw two interceptions as well.

The Bills had some success on the ground against the Patriots, with Marshawn Lynch racking up 79 yards on just 13 carries. ( Read More…)

Buffalo falls to Green Bay, 34-7

The hapless Buffalo Bills didn’t muster much offense at all in a 34-7 road loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Give Buffalo’s defense some credit for keeping things close in the first half despite no support from the offense.

The Bills do have a solid secondary and they did a nice job of slowing down the vaunted Green Bay passing attack for at least a half.

Quarterback Trent Edwards is simply awful. He barely threw for over 100 yards and tossed two interceptions. ( Read More…)

Bills name Spiller starting RB

The Buffalo Bills have named rookie C.J. Spiller their starting running back.

Spiller had an excellent preseason while fellow running backs Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch sat out with injuries.

Jackson was expected to be the team’s starting running back and could very well end up in that role.

The Bills would like to limit the number of carries Spiller gets because he is not really built to be a workhorse in the backfield. ( Read More…)
