The Buffalo Bills built a big lead early and then held on in the final minutes for a 31-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Buffalo’s lead was actually built just as much by their defense as it was by their explosive offense.

The Bills forced three Philadelphia turnovers, including an interception that was run back for a touchdown.

In fact, it was a rather quiet day out of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who threw for just one touchdown.

Buffalo was able to hold on for the win after getting the Eagles to jump offside on fourth and short with under two minutes to play.

Bills shock Patriots, 34-31

The Buffalo Bills rallied back from a three touchdown deficit to stun the New England Patriots, 34-31.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was slinging the ball all over the field and running back Fred Jackson had another big day.

The Bills gave up an a ton of passing yards to Tom Brady, but they also forced him to throw four interceptions.

Those turnovers allowed Buffalo to bounce back from a 21-0 deficit and eventually kick the game winning field goal in the final moments.

Believe it or not, the Bills are still undefeated and now stand alone in first place in the AFC East.

Bills run over Chiefs, 41-7

The Buffalo Bills pulled off one of the big surprises of Week 1 with a 41-7 beatdown of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bills pulled off the victory in one of the NFL’s most hostile environments, making it all the more impressive.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was out to prove that his play from last year wasn’t a fluke, throwing for 208 yards and four touchdowns.

Fitzpatrick carved up a Chiefs secondary that seemed totally lost and really fell apart when Eric Berry left with an injury.

Running back Fred Jackson also had a big day, rushing for 112 yards, the sixth time in his career he topped the 100-yard mark.

Bills cut Stroud

The Buffalo Bills have freed up some space on their roster by cutting defensive tackle Marcus Stroud.

He was best known for his time in Jacksonville when he teamed up with John Henderson to be one of the most fearsome tandems in the NFL.

He struggled recently with the team’s switch to a 3-4 defense and was going to make plenty of money in the last two years of his contract.

Stroud showed up to training camp last year in better shape, hoping his leaner figure would help him adjust to the new defensive scheme.

By cutting Stroud, it will allow the Bills to get a longer look at some of their younger players and give them a chance to develop.

Bills crushed by Jets, 38-7

The Buffalo Bills looked like a team ready to hit the beaches in a 38-7 loss to the New York Jets.

Quarterback Brian Brohm got the start in place of Ryan Fitzpatrick and threw for just over 100 yards and three interceptions.

The Bills mustered well under 200 yards of total offense in what was just a miserable performance.

Buffalo’s defense even surrendered two touchdown passes to veteran backup quarterback Mark Brunell.

The end of the season couldn’t come fast enough for the Bills, who now have plenty of time to get ready for the NFL Draft.

Bills hold off Dolphins, 17-14

The Buffalo Bills went on the road and gained an impressive, 17-14 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 223 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the win.

Wide receiver Stevie Johnson and tight end David Nelson each hauled in a touchdown pass.

Interestingly enough, the Bills were able to get the win despite a quiet day from running back Fred Jackson.

Buffalo had just 71 total yards rushing, and 19 of that came from their scrambling quarterback.

Buffalo squeaks past Cleveland, 13-6

The Buffalo Bills generated just enough offense to squeak out a win over the Cleveland Browns, 13-6.

Running back Fred Jackson finished with 112 yards rushing on a day that featured snow, rain and wind.

The poor conditions helped keep the score low, forcing both teams to rely on the running game.

In the end, the difference came down to the turnover battle. Buffalo turned the ball over just once, while the Browns had three turnovers.

The Bills were able to pull out the win despite having to settle for two 19-yard field goals after failing to get into the end zone.

Bills drop potential win against Steelers, 19-16

The host Buffalo Bills saw a dropped pass in overtime lead to a 19-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Bills were slow-starters as per usual, falling behind by as many as 13 points early in the second half.

Buffalo eventually settled down on defense and found their rhythm on offense, rallying back to tie the game on a last second field goal.

They appeared to wrap up an improbable win in overtime, but wide receiver Stevie Johnson dropped a pass wide-open in the end zone.

The momentum seemed to switch sides after that play, and the Steelers drove down the field for the game-winning field goal.

Bills get first win, beat Lions, 14-12

The Buffalo Bills finally got their first victory of the season in a 14-12 win over the visiting Detroit Lions.

The Bills got a huge day out of running back Fred Jackson, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown. Jackson also had 37 yards receiving and another score.

Jackson was a big part of the team’s offense but had struggled so far this year. Maybe this will jump-start him for the rest of the season.

Buffalo didn’t make it easy for themselves as they gave up a late touchdown, allowing the Lions to pull within just two points.

However, the Bills were able to hold the Lions on the two-point conversion, forcing a throw out of the back of the end zone.

Bills fall to Bears, 22-19

The Buffalo Bills yet again fell short of winning their first game of the year in a 22-19 loss to the Chicago Bears.

It seemed like the perfect scenario for the Bills to get their first win, but playing a home game in Toronto didn’t get them much of an advantage.

The dead atmosphere actually worked against them, and their offense sputtered for the second week in a row.

The lack of a running game has become a real embarassment, as the Bills finished with only 46 yards on the ground.

Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for almost 300 yards and a touchdown, but also tossed two costly interceptions.
